The Lady: A Cherubim in reality

The Lady: A Cherubim in reality

A Poem by Mahvish Siddiqui
"

This poem is All about a lady whom I've known for years . She lived a scar free life. Her life symboled dedication . Now She is no more but she signifies a self motivated life.

"

Her life approaching  a stability now

Hair white, almost all fallen, teeth all collapsed

Her rumpled skin giving an impression of water ripples

She lay sanctified on her deathbed

World tantrums no more bother her

Lifetime queries, she has, will now follow her in heaven

Her sapience is incredible

Impatiently she waits for her new journey to heaven

She now dwindles between her past and present

Scenes from past horrify her when she closes her eyes

Desperately awaits for the sleepless night to get over

No better childhood and no better married life

But she kept high hopes from his motherhood life

The last hope, her children,a daughter and a son

She not know when she became a stranger to her kids

May be she didn’t know to express love to them

How could she ?she herself did not experienced it

Her life remained hollow, echoed with few fake smiles

All she want now is a place in heaven

Suddenly realized familiar hands touching her forehead

Her own children standing by her side

Tears rolled down her hollow cheeks

Suddenly a bright  face showed up

A new life is about to begin, the shadow told her

She closed her eyes, never to open again

The dreadful echoes finally came to an end.
