New One's Arrival

New One's Arrival

A Poem by SSAgnihotri
"

The poem is about the moment when I got to know that my little sister is gonna arrive. I really love my sissy and hope that she always imposes her wickedry over me!

"
I wandered all around the house,
Finding my mother just like a mouse.
I couldn't find her anywhere,
It was an irritation I couldn't bear.

Then I saw my dad sitting on the chair,
He was in excitement, I know, I swear.
He told me softly your mother'll soon come.
But she'll have a baby, who'll be your chum.

I was extremely and jumped like a fool,
But to my sorrow, I had to go to school.

Forgotten about the morning, I entered the room's hall,
My father exclaimed, "It's a girl - just like a delicate doll."
I was feeling like I stepped over the moon.
And wanted to meet the baby very soon.

My father smiled, a bit too long and big,
His smile was as sweet as a fig.
In minutes he took me to her and everyone was happy I know,
My sisters cheeks were as soft as snow.

A sparkle in everyone's eyes I could see,
And resoluted from that very day a GOOD SISTER I WOULD BE!
