Help descends from the mountains and arises

Help descends from the mountains and arises

A Poem by Firestone Feinberg

Help descends from the mountains and arises
From the oceans.  It rains down from the clouds and
It comes noiselessly -- without any sound -- and
It almost always surprises us...

For we are feeling too weak to
Think -- or even to speak of
Our need -- or of our loneliness -- and
We fear we're anonymous -- and that no one

Will ever know us.  So -- slowly --
We live -- till one day from the sky -- as if a
Miracle -- help arrives -- quietly...
Just as we would have turned to go.

Help does come from all sorts of places. And just when we think we have none, it arrives most unexpectedly. You have written a very good poem and I like the way the stanzas flow into each other.

if we wait that last split second more before we turn away, help will come, bad situations may turn, and that love may come around the corner...just when we are giving up...
i like the hopefulness found in this write...
