We live our lives to do some good --

We live our lives to do some good --

A Poem by Firestone Feinberg

We live our lives to do some good --
And that not just because we should --
But, too, because there's nothing more
Makes any sense to live life for.

What other meaning to our fight?
To witness roll of year to year?
To watch our dearest disappear?
To testify to day and night?

And are we then to gather wealth?
And build our castles on the sand?
And hear our neighbor's cry for help
Pretending not to understand --

We live our lives to do some good --
And that not just because we should --
But, too, because there's nothing more
Makes any sense to live life for.

we should do "good" because we want to not because we feel obligated.

You do a lot of good because you want to and that's good.
every revolutionary (even 'terrorist) feels exactly the same way...guess people have different opinions about what constitutes 'good'...'good' day David
