January

January

A Poem by Megan
"

I was sitting outside in the sun and this is what came to mind

"

I know I can feel it in my bones

Like the marrow

And I know I'm sinking like a stone

I can feel it in my bones

Replacing the marrow

Leaving me this hollow feeling

As if I could float

Like the sun in January on my skin

Clinging to simple things that stain like sin

Maybe I'm more lost than I thought

Soul battling the fight to win

But their glares keep my head low

And a knot in my throat

So I stay in line

All the while confused

Because I've forgotten what is right

Or wrong

A lot of reality and not really between the lines at all.
Real or memorex? Sometimes it doesn't matter so long as the
questions and feelings are valid and relevant.
