It was lovely :)
As for the tips and all, I guess 'settled' would've been a better choice instead of 'settle' rain.
(Also, it's 'soul', I know the auto corrections and the problems while typing are difficult to handle) :D
Thirdly, it's just that I felt that the last line went a bit off beat....the bottom line is always the most important, and needs to be rhyming and go along the flow, as I've seen in most of the cases.
So it could've been better, but as you said you're a beginner, all I can say is that it was really beautiful and touching! :)
