I wrote this after reading the works of Marcus Garvey

I believe in Black Power

The liberation of all human families

End of the colonial mindset

Unchain the entire earth

 

I look towards Africa

Peace of mind

Place of salvation

The origin of all humanity

The place were we will return

 

I will live in Africa

Separated from Mother by generations

I must unlock my inner self

Open the Africa within my heart

Spread her message

Universal truths

Ending our oppression forever

 

The past cannot be undone

The future can be created

Created not in the image of U-Rope-peans

This time created in the first image of Africa

Let me know what you think, for genre I could of put this under philosophy or just poetry but since it has a slight political overtone I placed it under that but am not sure if that was the right choice.
