Foiled

Foiled

A Poem by AClockworkGirl

Disaster strikes daily
Worming its way into my warm head
Wearing away the red
Gaily laughing through sand

The smoke swells up and over
Covering my nostrils, I burrow away
Hoping for better every day

The lever is pulled again.

I will never win
Spin and spit and spin.
Haunted by the Golem's grin.
