Self BattleA Poem by FxliciaWhen I wrote this poem, a couple of years aback, it was about a character that I had made. I identified with that character a lot so I took all the things that I felt and morphed it into a poem.
One minute you're happy,
One minute you're sad. Next minute you're angry, Next minute you're glad. You say you hate all, But you go by the book, And say "not everyone has to have the same look" And you defend those who are too scared to speak, And comfort those who cry and weep. Yet you say "F off" and "Get the hell away" When all you really want is company. Your phobias are your feelings that you hide everyday, But not everything has to be the same. I know that you feel it, Somewhere inside. Something somewhere saying "Do not hide" But you cast the voice away, you don't want to hear it. Although that doesn't mean that you don't want to feel it
