Victoria

A Poem by Arrianna
"

I wrote this for a friend, who turned out to be an excellent source of inspiration.

"
Who is a friend among all friends?
It's you, that's who!
Who stayed with me until the end?
It's you, that's true!

An Irish rose, the sweetest smell
A pleasure to have around
The little voice that wishes you well
Miles high from the ground

Books are all the eyes can see
From miles away, east to west
Perched on your lap with a cup of tea
The pages folded against your chest

A sunflower's been disturbed
Uprooted from the soil
Downcast by lies it's heard
Described as rags when it's really a royal

Don't listen to them, friend
Ignore the nightmares from the past
You've been with me through dark times
And that's more than I could ask
