Bondage

Bondage

A Poem by Ambra Celeste

Bondage

The vines and thorns of a dark past
Persist their hold on her fighting heart
Mermaids sing to lure her away
From a blissful future back to an obscure cave
Grazing the bruises that are yet to heal
Blinding the sight for her not to see
Shredding the gown that covered the soul
Revealing the luscious skin she never noticed before
Undressing the essence that was dying to live
Adoring her innermost self with flowers not thorns
Reborn to be wild and defend her throne
She burned the anguishing bondage
It is no more.

we are so often held back by our past. it isn't as is if past isn't important, its just that the past is gone...we can't change it we can only learn from it...but we just let it hold us back without learning anything.
beautiful poem..:)

Once we leave it behind we are finally free from stuck emotions. Thanks for leaving your comment.
sometimes we are just so tied to our past that we cannot move forward to a future of joy...we hold ourselves back and only we can burn that anguishing bondage...

powerful piece of writing here.
