Beautiful Carnivores

Beautiful Carnivores

A Poem by Ambra Celeste

Beautiful Carnivores

Innocuous emerald eyes
Sweet nectary words
Glazed brown skin
Your tentacles made of candyfloss
You called upon my juvenile soul
Tired of flying
Tired of escaping
You offered me place to rest my battered wings
Tenderly embracing me
Softly caressing me
(Your attraction zone)
You watched me remove my protective armour
You watched me bathe in your poison
(Your trap zone)
My damaged wings you tore off
My naked body you trashed
My blood quenched your thirst
Leaving me breathless
(Your digestive zone)
Playing dead
Playing the fool
I learnt a lot from you
However, I am not thanking you.

Powerful words, I could feel the emotion....and the ending seriously gave me goosebumps. Going into my favorites!

Thanks so much for your review. :)
great ending...i learned a lot but am not thanking you...
i hate people who do this...prey on those who are recovering from painful relationships...they entice with kindness, but then turn to meanness and end up putting the other into madness.
quite like the oxymoron in the title. also..
