First Light

Beneath the candelabra
reflecting reflections
hidden and found
observable 
truth in innocence 
around

Ants marching
butterfly wings
bees blazing
poisonous nectar
vinegar hives
seeking
communal honeycomb

No heroes and martyrs
exist in the 
animal kingdom 
yet false prophets 
hypnotize
with their silent 
death drum
sound
