The released leaders include two former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLAs and two former National Conference MLAs besides an independent MLA. These five leaders include Abdul Jabbar, Bashir Ahmed Mir, Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Yasir Reshi and Ghulam Nabi. They have been released from the MLA hostel in Srinagar. After the removal of Article 370 in the Valley on August 5, the security system there was extremely tight, while most of the leaders of the precautionary state were taken into custody.
