Falling

The Depressive Manifesto

By: Muhammad Moosa

I have tripped

and fallen

down a hole so deep

that the Light of this world cannot reach.

It’s a hole so deep

none bother to reach out.

If someone were to send

a rope

I could never reach it.

But that would never happen

because none can see me

screaming, crying, and climbing

to no avail.

The worst part about this is…

Someone tripped me.

Easy to be tripped-up and fall. A wise person get up and become stronger. Old wise saying. "Hard times make strong people." Easy to swim in pity. Take a strong person to stand-up and leave the bad things behind. A powerful poem. Made me think this early morning. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
