Everything And Nothing At All...

Everything And Nothing At All...

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Everything And Nothing at All

I struggle with the heat

and the razor,

stuck in an ugly scream.

Blistered bits of melancholy

ripping through

my skin,

pasting poetry

to the bone.

And in them nothing

at

all.

Prying an eye open

for a bad dream,

forced anxiety

with afternoon tea.

And I balk

and I blink

reaching for a hand,

but failing.

Falling.

I hold tight

the madness in my mind,

it's all I've ever had,

and it's everything to me.

A poet who writes of something other than love and lost love and longing to be loved.
You are of more worth than many wages of gold, dear poet.
