Tidewater

Tidewater

A Poem by Abigail Bergeron

Inhaling deeply

pungent briny rolling air

swirling from the foam

Bathing the great sky

across the sanctuary

a bittersweet train whistle

Squishing earthen sponge

feet sunk stuck in soggy bog

shoe-sized seas emerge

Before a setting

sun, myriad tiny geysers

expose hidden clams

This is very beautiful. Your word choice creates a wonderful picture, and it reminds me of splashing in puddles as a kid. Good work, this is an impressive poem.
