Reno (Nevada) is a great US city of casinos and resorts, and it's the site of a terrific American bowling tourney that'll bring some needed energy to the 'alternative' (Las Vegas/Atlantic City) city in the USA.

Many celebrities might visit Reno to enjoy the amenities offered by its casinos/resorts, and during this bowling tourney, special spokesmen from Hollywood (USA) are coming to spotlight how ESPN has made bowling a much more iconic American broadcast sport!

EVENT MANAGER: We hope this Reno event will be media-friendly and safe and welcoming for all.

One of the hopeful contenders at this year's Reno bowling contest is Amlan Satan, ex-CIA who worked with Interpol-relations blood-diamond smuggler subversion work in British Columbia! Satan's looking for a nice way to unwind with his favorite hobby/pastime, which is American bowling. He's excited for this tourney and he's purchased a new ball for the personal event! He's a real nerd.

SATAN: My gold lucky ball, Black Widow, will help me take down the top contender in this Reno event.

Reno is such an iconic city but unusual, since it's an 'alternative' to the American Big 2 in casino cities, Las Vegas and Atlantic City! It's no wonder ESPN-coverage of bowling-tourneys has brought special media spotlight to this Reno neon event, reminding people why it's the biggest little city in the world.

SATAN: I'm dressing up like an Arabian madman for this Reno tourney, and I'm going to win, by George.

Amlan Satan is a comic book fan/aficionado and hopes to use this special Reno bowling victory and prize-money to market his special investment in Robotech franchise art and comics. He wants to use a Reno platform for highlight a special upcoming Robotech comic-con festival too.

Because the main contender, the favorite to win the Reno event, is a woman(!), Shelley Winters, the bowling tourney is drawing in a top entertainer from Hollywood, a celebrity rock musician, Ellen. She'll be performing live at a pre-tourney concert to cheer on the chances for Shelley Winters to grab the Reno trophy!

SHELLEY WINTERS: I'll be staying at the El Dorado hotel in Reno (Nevada) during this bowling media event.

As the tourney kicks off, all the bowlers are in top-form, and Amlan Satan's come to compete well and win hopefully for his Robotech franchise event funding/fundraising. There are many special-interest groups at this Reno bowling event too, including the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, involved with Antarctica eco-conservation initiatives.

ROUND 1: Amlan Satan and Shelley Winters are way ahead of the pack and lead the tables.

ROUND 2: The two upstarts David Cher and Elaine Patel are shockingly getting close.

ROUND 3: As the semifinals approach, people note Satan and Winters will face each other in the final.

COMMENTATOR: It's Amlan Satan versus Shelley Winters in the Reno bowling-tourney final, hosted by AMC.

SHELLEY WINTERS: I managed to win the trophy and defeat Satan with a 7-10 split after his early strike(s) leads!

Satan's crushed, but he meets the celebrity rock musician Ellen, who though initially came to Reno to cheer on Winters, has become affectionate towards Amlan, and she pities him, and they share a nice dinner together and shockingly fall in love! Satan tells the press, "I lost the battle, but I'm winning the war." Surprisingly, during the Reno event, a maniac has invaded the neon casino city, posing as a horror-film avatar, prompting the now-heroic Amlan Satan to pose as a modern-day Robin Hood and take down the chainsaw-maniac with a string of crossbow-fire. The Reno Herald hails this heroism as a real casino diary.
