Amlan Satan was recruited by the Weyland Company on Earth for the new shuttle-flight to unexplored planet Origae. The blueprints for the newly-designed Weyland space-shuttle the USS Sulaco were quite impressive, and Captain Satan (Amlan) was excited for this Weyland journey to Origae utilizing the best in flight tech in outer-space in the year 2090.

AMLAN SATAN (Captain): I'm psyched for this outer-space flight mission to Origae and have read many sci-fi storybooks!

The Sulaco took off from Earth and would arrive in faraway Origae many years later in our time-scale, but because of light-speed capability of the new Weyland ship Sulaco, the space-shuttle would reach Origae much sooner, requiring Captain Satan (Amlan) to just traverse the space between in short hypersleep.

DISTRESS COMMUNIQUE: This is Captain Amlan Satan, and I've reached Planet Origae and am adequately armed with Weyland laser hand-guns, but I've encountered a lethal species of intelligent insect-dragon looking man-size alien creatures which I've named 'Xenomorphs' (for their 'uncanny' ability to adapt and move around with great speed and ferocity!) and am required to constantly evade and fire at them, because they evidently have no other single intention towards a human being besides squirting acidic saliva and trying to use their razor-claws and teeth to tear at flesh and simply kill, so I'll be seeking immediate escape/return to Earth.

WEYLAND: So, you constantly fired at these 'Xenomorph' alien-creatures while fleeing from them?

SATAN (Amlan): I was constantly moving, running, hiding, and firing lasers at them!

WEYLAND: What's the status of the weaponry and the Sulaco itself?

SATAN: There's accountable but minimal damage to the hardware, but I almost lost a finger!

WEYLAND: Are you certain these 'Xenomorph' aliens had no intention to be diplomatic/peaceful?

SATAN: All I'm certain of without doubt is that my laser-gun was my only 'pal' on Origae!

Amlan retired from Weyland and space-travel and spent his early retirement days/years enjoying snowboarding on Earth (in Switzerland mountains!). This was the fate of a space-traveler for Weyland who'd found special life 'awakenings' after encountering/enduring a horrific engagement with these lethally hostile but intelligent 'Xenomorph' aliens on Origae. Amlan's simply grateful to be snowboarding and not firing lasers.
