==== A beautiful young girl in sectarian troubled Belfast, Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) was caught in a horrifying crossfire on a bright Sunday in autumn. The crossfire was between members of the Catholic guerrilla-force the Irish Republican Army (IRA) and the retaliatory aggressive Protestant street-youth gang unit the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF). This IRA-UVF crossfire took place on the streets of Belfast (Northern Ireland) on a Sunday morning when the little girl, Shelbye O'Connor, happened to be walking by to pick up an autumn leaf which'd fallen on the ground off a tree while the IRA-UVF street patrolling/roving youth-units were both driving by and orchestrating a long-planned urban road shootout. Poor little 10 year-old Shelbye O'Connor was shot multiple times in the chest and was immediately fallen dead in this tragedy that mirrored so many other ugly tales in troubled Northern Ireland (United Kingdom). ![]() A reporter who'd covered the horrific crime named Amlan Satan was at the cemetery where little Shelbye was buried and took photos to make a painting to complement his new Belfast Gazette journal/editorial piece about the levels of socioeconomics disparities between the Irish-Catholic minority population and the British-Protestant majority population (descended from generations of English colonial settlers) creating a vacuum-need for certain 'affirmative-action employment assistance program policy reform talks' in Parliament catering to the under-class unemployed youth sector of Belfast turning to forms of angst-ridden violence/crime. Satan's Gazette piece accompanied by this flower-cemetery painting detailing Shelbye O'Connor's tragic crossfire-death in troubled Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) would highlight why life in modern inter-religious cities on Earth were so 'marked' by strange tidings of sectarian woes! ![]() AMLAN SATAN (Gazette): "I saw a wolfish dog with glowing eyes near Shelbye's gravesite, and I thought of dawn." ![]() The sad truth is, there's no real vindication/justice for victims of sectarian troubles like poor little Shelbye O'Connor in troubled Belfast (Northern Ireland) who're simply caught up in the 'maelstrom' of new era urban civilization deformities. They're counted as the 'faceless victims' of the ongoing human 'dark tale' of misplaced emotions/wrath and unfounded fears/evil. The irony is that this story of a sad death in the UK is 'enhanced' by Amlan Satan's special citation of the noted 'haunting wolf-dog' near Shelbye O'Connor's gravesite which served to remind readers of the metaphysical value of the 'lost gems' of human delight. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
