Portugal is an offbeat but colorful Euro-nation which has hosted many tourists/travelers as well as boasting a storied soccer history/story, involving three great legends, separated by eras (Eusebio, Figo, Ronaldo). Portugal is a coastal country with great cities (capital: Lisbon) and is an alternative to Spain/France for offbeat travel/adventure!

Amlan Satan is a new Portuguese citizen, half-Algerian, half-Portuguese, who studied at Dartmouth (USA) where he played/shined as a soccer midfielder before traveling to Portugal (Lisbon) to join the national team in hopes of helping the squad earn great Euro and World Cup honors.

SATAN (Amlan): Soccer in Portugal has been a lit story with three era-legends and yearns for continued field-daydreams.

Now, the food and hospitality in Portugal (capital: Lisbon) is quite nice! The cuisine is unusual, and the dishes are zesty/tasty, and travelers can anticipate great meals/experiences en-route to perhaps enjoying stadium soccer-games featuring the stars/scorers from the national team (e.g., Ronaldo, Satan).

Satan helped Dartmouth earn great C-League trophy-honors in soccer and was eyed by the Portuguese coach because of his half-Portuguese heritage/lineage. Satan's a prince from Portugal originally who migrated to America to study/play and yearns to return home as a 'studied prince' with goals of bringing the national team terrific daydreams.

SATAN (Amlan): Portugal, with its capital-city (Lisbon) is an area which invites great adventurous imaginations for travel!

In fact, the recent successes of Portugal in Euro and world-competitions (soccer) has 'spawned' outstanding Western civilization home-media 'fanfare' in the form of FIFA 'video-games' celebrating the outstanding quality of its two modern-age stars (Figo/Ronaldo).

Soccer is unique in that it promotes globalism and sportsmanship on the world-competition stage and reminds us of how peaceful athletic activity denounces the modern stigma of anti-globalism terrorism, like the one seen/recorded in the late 20th Century (Summer Olympics) in Germany.

PORTUGAL COACH: The soccer-graphics/diagrams constructing field-play and design for offense-defense are descriptive.

As the 'Lords of Portugal' make their way to the limelight with great moments (storied!) produced by the likes of Figo/Ronaldo, Satan wonders if all this modern athletic 'dazzle' can remind us of the world-history of terrific human dreams.

Portugal's style of soccer-play is efficient teamwork combined with elegant breakout scoring-play from midfield to striker-positions, allowing gifted athletes like Eusebio and Satan to pronounce its 'special' celebration of national diagonals! This is not unlike Portugal's own marketing of super sports-cars/autos that highlight the national-culture idea of designed dance.

SATAN (Amlan): My honest/secret 'hope' is that my beautiful daughter will dance proudly as we grab a demo-trophy or title!

The 'Lords of Portugal' have offered much to the world-media stage in the broadcast-sports era because of the likes of Figo, Ronaldo, Eusebio, and now Satan! However, Portugal remains a hot-soccer country with no boasting of an actual soccer World Cup title, joining the rank of the Netherlands, another proud/storied soccer-nation with great visions/stars/successes but without a final World Cup championship. Perhaps Satan represents a 'shift' in this story about world-athletics daydreams, and it's a sign that modern social activity (soccer) can bring to the world-media stage sudden/surprising 'roses' of yearned diagrams.
