"

Fanfiction of the iconic air-flight daring/heroics comedy starring Robert Hays and featuring a tale of 'unlikely' romance.

"
A nod to the civilization 'magic' of Airplane! (Robert Hays), an enriching fanfiction (I think!),

Amlan Satan readied himself for a flight from America to Europe after taking a needed break from his work with junior ice-hockey league coaching in Vancouver but kept wondering what his reunion with his ex-wife, Ezzy, would be like, since she'd be a flight-attendant on the same flight he'd planned to take. He nevertheless remained happy/confident that this flight across the sea would remind him why he came whom with an early-discharge from the scars of American warfare in the Middle East to become a social-media blogger and junior-sports coach. Everything was alright, but his divorce had took something out of Satan, and now he kept wondering what the reunion with Ezzy would create for his own commentary on social-media with his friends in Vancouver (wow).

EZZY: Amlan, I'm thrilled you're agreeing to fly again after such a long time.
AMLAN: I didn't think I'd ever stare into clouds from an elevation after the war!
EZZY: I'll be happy being your flight-attendant, Amlan; despite our separation.
AMLAN: I know that; I just saw a cool movie about a daring pilot-conman type character (ha).
EZZY: Great; I wonder if this movie will inspire you to think fondly of the past.
AMLAN: I know I've harbored scars; and it ruined our marriage; but this is perfect.
EZZY: I'm glad you think that, Amlan; maybe we'll show that same movie in-flight.
AMLAN: I wanted to tell you something, but I forgot...maybe it's for the best!

Well, on this special flight across the sea, Amlan encountered a vision of romance and it was in the form of a stranger woman named Danica and he'd been now certain this would be a return to married-life, once he greeted and charmed and courted this vision of haunting beauty. However, he remained 'torn' secretly since Ezzy, his darling ex-wife, was the flight-attendant, and she seemed to take-notice of Danica and became suspect of his advances towards Danica, the passenger, and secretly felt jealous (wow).

PILOT: I regret to inform my wonderful passengers my co-pilot's had a heart-attack.
FLIGHT-ATTENDANT: Does anyone on this flight, the passengers, know how to fly?
AMLAN: Of course...well, I promised I'd never fly a plane again; but yes, me!
EZZY: Amlan, you're certain you won't get post-war jitters (again)?
AMLAN: Yeah, I'm sure; in fact, Ezzy, I'll be your gallant hero (this time!).
EZZY: What about Danica?
AMLAN: What about her...I think I'm in love (again).
EZZY: Good luck (then).

Amlan pulled of the hero deed and landed the plane alongside the surviving pilot (Tom Cruise) and reported on social-media this act of heroism in the air, despite his post-war 'troubles' would take him to a newfound (Catholic) life of great happiness. This time, however, the angel waiting for him on that other proverbial side of spiritual awakening would be Danica (not Ezzy). That's a great airplane tale of this post-9/11 era of travel/transit hospitality optimism (for any 'good' American).

DANICA: You don't regret leaving Ezzy, darling Satan?
AMLAN: Nah; I wonder what we'll do in Brussels (for the honeymoon).
DANICA: Sure; it'll be great, my prince of the skies (my great hero!).
AMLAN: Thanks, dear; well...I think we'll have a son and I'll get him a Transformers toy.
DANICA: Good.
AMLAN: Well...seems capitalism's human species brings me joy in the form of air's heights.
DANICA: Good.
AMLAN: You know, I thought this would turn out to be some bad joke (or something).
DANICA: Nah; I'm sure our (future) son will love that Transformers toy from you (ha).
