![]() Wolfen: Forest of CityA Story by Abishai100![]() Narrated claim of a city-writer who's drawn to a 'wolfen-spirit' in the forest by his abode where he'd learn about 'dark' boarding (and himself!).![]()
An animalia-superstition vignette inspired by the graphic Wolfen (Diane Venora).

==== I was working on special post Cold-War chess diagrams for superstitions about political risk/decision-making in the new millennium for 9/11-era oriented intuition(s) when it dawned on me that I'd consider the value of a more spectral consideration of consciousness bridges and arrows of motion, for social-media/citizenry commentary about 'living' fears of fortune/wealth/capitalism. ![]() I lived in this city with the forest on the outskirts that moved me to this more animalia-linked superstition story-ideation and thought of the natural instincts of the focused and relentless 'wolfen' spirit, perhaps playing a darker guiding-hand in capitalism-politics risk-IQ and strategic decision-making for globalism-advantage(s), but I'd wonder if the wolfen-spirit was somehow moving the race of ours to a more eerie and 'dangerous' form of architectural/manmade Hell (or vanities!). ![]() I found great solace in the image(s) of youth-activity and youngsters in the city park(s) playing with water-guns in summer-seasons and reflected on the natural innocence of our civilization surrounding the 'fencing' of capitalism-readings linked ambition/vanities and thought about how the wolfen-spirit that drew me to thoughts about the forest by our city and why our race always moved towards forms for incomplete (but certain) 'warlike' materialism/bounds (hmm). Was this good for social media? ![]() I had to go to the library and get myself a copy of one of my fave Seuss books about lifestyle-linked intuition(s) concerning vanities and self-reliance of balance/angst, and I thought about the resourcing-angle of this strange-tale presented by the iconic writer of offbeat metaphysics/values (Dr. Seuss) invoked a special 'image' of incomplete satisfaction (or worry!) that would be somehow 'bridged' by my newfound fascinating sense(s) of 'wolfen' Ego (or interest/intelligence). ![]() ESMERELDA (Girlfriend): You should smoke and play chess (with me!). ME: Why not? ESMERELDA ('Ezzy'): Maybe you'd think more about self-awareness. ME: Why not? EZZY: What's the big challenge that reminds us vanity ain't denial? ME: Why not? EZZY: You're not a werewolf, and hence, think of simplified Ego. ME: Why not? EZZY: All good for social media, my darling (ha). ![]() Ezzy was right. I was drawn too much to lycanthropy mindfulness and thought about this 'wolfen-IQ' as obsession for my pursuit of the Ego by the city-scape and civilization's capitalism-readings of incomplete-distances to superstitious vanities/angst. The wolfen-spirit was calling me and it perhaps/arguably moved me to explore the darker contours of ambition and self-satisfying focus/vanity, and I wondered if there was an actual 'werewolf' or 'wolf-deity' lurking in the forest by my city trying to turn me into more of a writer of Hell and less of a writer of man's 'crafty' bread for ingenious warmth! ![]() WOLF: I knew you'd need a dream about my presence, writer. ME: I'm hearing/seeing your 'wolfen-spirit' while I dream about you? WOLF: Why not? ME: Are you a dark-messenger of something capitalist/vain? WOLF: Why not? ME: Consider my (own) images of hospitality for capitalism-comforts! WOLF: Such as? ME: I think of (Indian) luchi-bread as a 'handshake' for world-hosting. WOLF: Why not? ME: This soft/zesty Eastern-Asian 'treat' reminds me of simplicity. WOLF: And simplified satisfaction, no? ME: Are you trying to persuade me to becoming more...bound? WOLF: Why not? ME: No...me thinks my road/fate moves me to a humbling reflection. WOLF: Alright (cool). ME: Good for social media. ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
