Winter's End

Winter's End

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

Winter, cold and fierce
The snow may be picking up in small little clouds of dust as spring appears
Yet not all blossoms before the day of love
Sometimes it wilts away before new can bloom
Although we pulled away like leaves of the same branch, we no longer seem to feel the breakage
Maybe I should have known that green doesn't always mix with gold
Or that the ocean and earth pull at each other from the very core
Maybe a different year I'll find someone who is like Autumn or Spring instead of that cold lemonade in Summer or the warm hot chocolate of Winter
