Your Friend

I've always been there for you,

through the the good times and bad.

And you've been there for me,

each and every time too.

From the first time,

that I saw that pixelated grin,

I knew that I could,

trust you with everything.

Even though we live,

so far from each other,

I know that you will,

always have my back.

Every day I still wonder,

"how do we get along so well?".

After all, you've always been the crazy one,

while I've been the calm one.

I guess that it's because,

you can always make me smile,

and I'm always willing to listen,

to everything you want to say.

Or maybe it's because of,

something that you once told me,

"Dustin, Dustin! I've got it figured out!

If I'm Haruhi's real life twin, then you're Kyon!"

Either way, maybe one day,

we'll finally meet face to face,

and I hope and I pray,

that we will still be friends.

Author's Note

I was just going through some old documents the other day and found this old thing still dated 10-9-09. Admittedly, it's probably terrible because I normally try to stick with prose but, well, I figured that it wouldn't hurt to try to post it anyways. For anyone that's curious, the poem's a dedication to an old rping partner of mine that I knew on an old forum that's sadly probably disappeared by now.

I like your playing with words like this:"each and every time too"
Yes, it really sucks when someone you like left without goodbye, maybe i'm wrong, maybe you didn't get through that, but all in all, poem is wonderful..
