My Love

Yesterday I sat in uncertainty, for my love seemed unreachable.

My love with which I wake each morning and sleep each night.

My love that encourages each second of escaped focus

Today I sit in solace, for I can see through the fog

Though my love cannot leave me unconsciously

In consciousness I can now persevere

I see a light inside that had not shone before

A light I did not know existed though it has been within me

So I endure despite my aching heart

A solace within me to breathe despite feeling drowned

That perhaps through and up the water

I can feel awakened

I can breathe not only for my love but for what is else

For potential that hid in the clouds

The clouds that back my mind

For all else was disguised in procrastination

And only my love persisted

But perhaps he disguises as well

Through my rose mind my love seems what he is not

Now that I can use full sight

My breath finally fills my lungs

And I am ready to be what I could not before
