YAZZIE GIRL

YAZZIE GIRL

A Poem by C. M. Miller

The water kettle beckons.

She gets my special mug

and nestles it next to hers.

Tea time for lovers.

Yazzie girl sings.

The candle light reflects warmly in our eyes,

revealing the color of our hearts . . .

Our mugs release an inviting scent,

encouraging our hearts to soar . . .

Yazzie girl sings.

The candle light dims as our hearts

return to kiss the sweet earth.

Her lips upon mine now,

like honey for the tea.

Dear man, her eyes say.

Little Bird, say mine.

Yazzie Girl! Wow, however did I miss this delight? Emma's comments echo through my mind as I type, wanting desperately to capture something as special as what you've written here!

This is simply charming! And utterly sweet! [ I'm guessing, like the writer himself! ]

Oh yeah, like the writer himself!

Oh this is wonderful! I love the hungry few of the words, the way you use brevity to say so much. And what a clever, clever theme .. dear Yazzie Girl - she sings!

Some sweet expressive phrases: '... revealing the colour of our hearts'. '... an inviting scent'.
