PURPOSE

PURPOSE

A Poem by C. M. Miller

Who am I?

I am the soft whispers between
reality and fantasy.

Who are we?

How do we close the gap between

who we know we are,
and who we need the other to be?

Who am I?

I am but a moment
between pauses, lost and
without purpose.

Who are we?

Come then, find me.
Make me yours.
Purpose me.

'i am but a moment/between pauses, lost and/without purpose.' shows how vulnerable we are within the existence of the one we love. these last two stanzas would definitely sweep me off my feet.

So many of these words were hanging the air around me or lingering in my soul but you beat me to getting them on paper. Excellent!!!

Wow. Why do we expect the significant other to complete us or fill us with whatever was missing? It's really unfair but I still hope for it. Vicious circle. This is written perfectly.

Oh, the volume this speaks to me! I shudder to think this has been posted for days, without garnishing a comment!

What a lovely, lovely orchestration of words!

My best,
Kelly
