I need

A poem I wrote when the thoughts about my friends kept running through my mind. I think all I am and all I've achieved are because of my friends hence I dedicate this piece to them all.

…I need

setting out on a journey, a well-wisher I need

many miles to cover, a partner I need

dreams to accomplish, a soul mate I need

great words to speak, an orator I need

heavy things to pull, a helper I need

blue in confusion, an adviser I need

drowning in loneliness, a companion I need

buried in grief, a comforter I need

facing hard times, an associate I need

pushing towards success, a fan I need

can't contend alone, an ally I need

want to hang out, a pal I need

done preening, an admirer I need

need to discuss pressing issues, a confidant I need

through everything, its you I need
