Letting go

Letting go

A Poem by Brooklyn

Tears flow down my face,

As I see the pain reflecting in your eyes.

My heart drowns in sorrow,

As I watch you deteriorate over time.

You act as if you never loved me,

Or even the fact we shared a special bond.

My heart was in your hand,

As yours was in mine.

The moments we shared,

Makes me reminisce of the past.

Reminding me of the good and bad times we had,

Like memories frozen in time,

Isolated in my mind.

You left my heart in shambles,

And you didn't even bother to pick up the pieces.

So now I am left with the baggage,

And I can't let you go.
