Running In The Rain

Running In The Rain

A Poem by Aerielle Louise

SLOP, SLOP, pitter, patter
SLOP, SLOP, pitter, patter
Running shoes with rhythm pounding
Melodious rain as water splashing

drops of rain sparkle on beautiful blooms
forming an iridescent pools
on silky petals of vibrant flowers
Rain falls and they are showered

Some days no one sees me at all
My footsteps drum, up and down the vacant hall
And then rain made me realize something
A beautiful creation, essential to every living

The rain brings beauty to nature
as it showers every creature
Once in a while, sprinkles the land
reasons why tall trees stand

"Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day"
What I've been singing years before
But now wishing to rain some more

For today is raining hard
And I am outside our yard
Yet I'm so happy playing
Never felt lonely while running...
