Wishing

Wishing

A Poem by Amanda

Lying here tonight,
You slip into my mind,
Though I pushed you away earlier.
My mind was at rest,
And my defenses down,
But now I feel so much lonelier.

Wish you were here,
Wish I was there,
Wish that we both were together.
For it’s been so long,
And I’m singing this song,
Knowing that we both miss the other.
So I’m wishing.
Wishing.

No end in sight,
And the length of this night,
Just seems to continue forever.
My heart aches so much,
And I long for your touch,
For the ties of our hearts will not sever.

Wish you were here,
Wish I was there,
Wish that we both were together.
For it’s been so long,
And I’m singing this song,
Knowing that we both miss the other.
So I’m wishing.
Wishing.

Wish you were here,
Wish I was there,
Wish that we both were together.
For it’s been so long,
And I’m singing this song,
Knowing that we both miss the other.
So I’m wishing.
Wishing.

So I’m wishing…
Wishing for you.
