Missing Our Angel

Missing Our Angel

A Poem by Aeryn L. Rose

Sitting here with family and friends,
Remembering years gone by,
All the fights and times of fun.
We have made out amends
And said our goodbye
Her time in this place, finally done.

I see the great fisher,
Standing at the lake side,
Embracing his newest friend.
All will miss her,
But her joy she cannot hide,
As she stands where the fish do not end.

Looking into the cloud scattered blue,
Peering through the pouring tears,
I see a shining face,
And know an angel has paid her due.
An earth bound woman with few fears,
Has found her saving grace.
