A little poem about a perfect day.

Perfect Day

 

Pirouetting honeybee

bend your little inky knee,

bow low to that cherry tree

on the first of May. Hey!

 

Spiders spinning fancy-free

webs that build a fantasy

catch a nit, a fly, a flea

who has gone astray. Hey!

 

Robins what do you foresee?

Do you have a guarantee

of worms, maybe two or three,

as you look for prey? Hey!

 

Puffy cloud move close to me.

Do you know to what degree

I’m part of your pedigree

on this perfect day? Hey!

definitely good form here...and nice light fare for spring, which might have finally come here in southern illinois...it has been threatening to arrive, and then suddenly it's cold and dreary again.

We are all connected to each other, as worms, or Robins, as Spiders or bee's.
What we just need is balance, weather on a right season, and calm seas.

Hey! I loved the rhythm and the rhyme of the piece and the content is priceless...it's not boring like a lot of poems I've read that have this type of count. It's fun and exhilarating...it made me dance and snap my fingers to the beat...made me happy.
