Ye Olde Heroes

Ye Olde Heroes

A Poem by Aevum
"

Four stanzas

"
Stand tall
We tell ourselves
A battle has come
Stand proud
We tell each other
An age is passing
Stand ready
We tell the coming dawn
A triumphant cry sounds

Glorious victory
Eternity shall cry
Gone is the rose
Gone is the fire in our hearts
Prepared for the end
Swords gleaming held high
At the swallows first cry
As the dove does fly
Hoping happiness does not die

Hats pulled down
Weapons to the sky
Cloaks swept back
Eyes glowing bright
Shields at thy side
Embracing the unknown sight
Marching a march of death

The story untold
About those so bold
Carving out destiny
No rest to be sold
Until the truth be said
Of valiant heroes end
