Stranded

Stranded

A Poem by Ahena MK
"

Stuck on an island

"
Stranded
Just like the seasons keep changing
The moon light is often raging
Across the globe one often flys
Sickening on the way of the southern tide

All across my hand I wrote
Scribbling numbers and often quotes

Often I wait alone at night
Staring at the plain blue hopeful sky
Praying for a plane to save my life

Holy, there could be at least a ship
For I knew how to talk a trip
Stuck on this island ages since,

                                       Through the
                                       Dark ages
                                       Of the seven
                                       Nations,

There lays hope
Somewhere in the sky
For the stars
Shine throughout
The dark and Spooky night
                                            -Ahena MK

This was good. I liked the longing in the piece and the reference to the 7 nations. I was wondering if you meant the Seven Nations of The Iroquois Confederacy? We always hope we will see the stars to lead us even on the darkest night.

Dark ages
Of the seven
Nations,
A crazy kind of fun reading this. It seems alone. but you seem cool with it. working it out. i mean there is no hysterical tones... no desperate plea's for help. but rather a certain enlightened isolation. That's my mind for you. Good poem. Easier for me than the other.

Some intriguing images here - like the personification of: Staring at the plain blue hopeful sky...

Hope in the stars, a good way to leave the reader.

I like how you have emphasised the person stranded is hopeful that one day he or she will be rescued. A lovely poem capturing loneliness and hope.

My pleasure.
I like the poem. Had a feel of mystery and left the reader with something to think about.
"Through the
Dark ages
Of the seven
Nations,"
The moon can light up the night. Rarely causing fear I believe. The world look at the sky with a different vision. The stars lead people to good places and directions. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

I don't know if it would be worse to be stranded on an island or stranded here with soulless, cold, uncaring drones.
Enjoyed it.

You are welcome...:).....................
Sounds like someone lost and not able to find their way, I was also reminded of Tom Hanks in Castaway..ha, it's not easy to survive emotionally and physically on your own without another soul. A thought provoking read Ahena.
