What keeps us Alive

What keeps us Alive

A Poem by Aiden Marie

im sitting in my car at the stoplight

just up the raod from your house

it reminds me of just last night

go back with the click of a mouse

street lights and traffic signs

are what keep us alive

stoping and starting in the night

street lights and traffic signs

keep to the right and dont you turn left

into all the incoming traffic

i never knew that those signs

wouldn't save your life

street lights and traffic signs

are what keep us alive

stopping and strarting in the night

street lights and traffic signs

what do you do when your upset

all of those things that you repressed

all the feelings held inside

street lights and traffic signs

there was a night it became too much

you were so sick of trying to love

pulling into the fast lane

you were going the wrong way

street lights and traffic signs

are kept you alive

up untill last night...
