Turmoil

Turmoil

A Poem by akihsna

Reaching for a hand to hold, footsteps to follow
I giggled and said "My victory shan't be hollow."
But blindfolded was I and walking barefoot on grass
I feared, she whom I love might be the reason to harass.

Why a smile so new, a face yet to be known
Triggers in me some alien melody which still seems my own?
Similar minds, lost in this very same labyrinth
Or wooden. heartless marionettes, consuming absinth?

Am I afraid of the rules of Minos even today?
Who would save me from being devoured before I decay?
A peculiar liberty nears my aura, pondered I
Us both treading on stranger paths in the blink of an eye...

Many times my eyes were left unwiped
And like silly mistakes, off I swiped
Whilst someone anticipates my accustomed gesture
In the face of my feline-skin vesture.

Though, here's to our sublime Fridays,
On making love like they never showed in plays!
Are the memories to be cherished, aye?
As in furnace, I smilingly sigh.

Now, fingers touching the hedge
I should let go of my pledge
For our ways hardly meet
And at the egress, her, I greet.
