A GAME OF THRONES

A GAME OF THRONES

A Poem by Akinlolu
"

What is this game? They play it every day and in every corner of the globe. Who wins and who loses?

"
A GAME OF THRONES

At the tail end of long summer,
we hear the faint whispers of winter.

And in the belly of different beasts,
the rich, the fat and the pompous hold their feasts

as they play their game of thrones
while the masses trample each other to death in their scramble for bones.

This short poem says so much! Yes the rich always have full belly’s no matter what season; while the poor scramble and scrounge and fight to get a bite of nourishment…… important thoughts….and all of us know, but most do nothing, even though our bellies are full….
Well done!
Best
