TRAGEDY

A Poem by Akshara Jain
"

The narrator is a girl, alone in middle of a wide desert. She narrates about how similar circumstances are faced by her and that desert too. She brings a relation between the two.

.
I was alone,
Alone , In midst of that wide desert,
Unnerved!
Anxious!
And, quiet enough to let the frequencies of our quietness resonate,
Of course! Our quietness,
Me and the thirsty desert I was in.
.
Everything seemed so still,
So that one can doubt its existence.
So that one can doubt its reality!
The nights were as cold as ice,
And the days as hot as the Red Sun..
Everything was just around me,
Which,I can't feel,
Nor can I perceive.
.
Because, I was Fathomless,Intoxicated, Inebriated..
Into the prevailing loneliness of my soul And of that desert too...
Yes ! Our bonds were too deep..
As we were undergoing through the ruinous TRAGEDY.
