Mere Little Man

Mere Little Man

A Poem by Alani
"

You use... I use!

"

You are so beautiful and that’s your flaw

You are so in control but you want so much more

You pick every thought I have to obey what you’re feeling

Deluded by your attitude, you embrace my whole being

I breathe you in… I breathe you out…

You've got all kinds of lies, all up in your head

Your mind has been made up, I can tell by what you said

My heart is on the line, but you don’t even care

Your ego is big enough, no room left to share

I breathe you in… I breathe you out…

You’re too blind to see: I too can be amused

Your precious life is so easily being used

I take as much of you as I can: What you do… I can do…

You’re just a mere little man

What you can do---- I can do----
You`re just a mere little man.
Those two lines sum up a fantastic
composition. Exquisite--- Well done !

Thank you so much Eagle Cruagh :)
The person you speak of has so much, but they don't seem to appreciate what they have. They only long for more and push their ego on others that they are fortunate to have in their lives. I love that at the end the writer realizes that they are just as good as the good, if not better, than the man of which they speak. They have had enough and now they are moving on.
