Before Me

Before Me

A Poem by Alani
"

2 choices in life, always 2 choices

"

Before me is an old shipwreck

Waiting for complete erosion

He sailed the mighty seas

But it was meant as irony

Before me is a yellow bird

Singing a happy melody

He sings of the love he’s shared

But longs to still be heard

Before me is a reflection

Revealing a portrait of contradiction

I cry tears of yearning needs

While delight in what my soul feeds
