![]() Is There A Dance In Your Worship?A Story by "Aleeza"![]() Do you have a dance in your heart when thinking about who Christ is in you?![]() For several weeks now God has
been talking to me about His people needing to be refreshed with a Spirit of
Worship. So many times we as His people get so wrapped up in our (so called
work) for Him, that we don’t take time to realize the music is still playing in
the background, and He’s standing there waiting for that dance of Worship we
used to carry in our hearts. What is a dance in worship? It’s not just a moving
or a swaying in our body, it’s a cry, a prayer, an action. It’s a continuous
obedience of our spirits and our hearts. How wrapped up are you in your calling? Doing the will of God should be done as a Spirit of Worship, not as a job. Do we get so busy that we forget why we even do what we do, or we lose sight of God while we do it, then we are no longer doing it in the spirit of Worship. I know when it comes to bringing the lost to Christ that there’s a lot to do. But do we realize that it is He doing the works in us, and not us doing it? Even Jesus said in John 14 that it is He the Fathers words that I speak, they are not my own. Are we taking Control of our calling or are we still allowing God to be in control? There are hundreds and thousands of people who even today do not understand that salvation is required to enter the Kingdom of God. So many people believe you can get to heaven by doing good works. I see it in people everyday. Every one of His people are to seek the lost, but are we doing it as a job, or are we allowing the spirit of God to work through us? When you bring someone to Christ, is it just another day of work for you, or do you feel the presence of God within you every time? How often do you sit still before Him and just love on Him and thank Him with a pure heart, like that of a child. Do you see what you do as worship? I know myself that God has given me the gift of Comfort, the gift of Encouragement. When I first allowed God to show me these gifts, I was quit disappointed. I was like, Is this all you want from me, am I not worthy of something greater? As a part of my gifting came the ability to write. That may not be a big deal to some, but for a woman with no education, it’s a huge deal. When I first began writing, I wrote a story of my childhood, not just the memory of, but the healing that came from it. It was the story I wrote that was the final straw in beginning my own healing of that time in my life. From there I began writing about all kinds of topics God was dealing with me with, or things I saw others go through, everything I write is done in a Spirit of Worship. I don’t just write to write. I write when I feel the Spirit of God speaking to me. I used to feel very insecure about the things I write, until God showed me that it was Him doing the work, not I. When we walk in the Spirit of
God and allow Him to do the works for us, then it becomes Worship. I now have a
ministry in writing, writing to certain people who are suffering with the
spirit of loneliness and abandonment because of choices that they made. Does
not God love us all despite our bad choices and wrong decisions? Being able to
bring them back to the spirit of love, which is Christ. Bringing back a sense
of pride for them, helping them realize that God does love them deeply, despite
what lies others feed to them. So when your encouragement actually helps
another heal of there past, then that gift becomes a great gift, just as great
as one who does His work out in the open, the only difference is, The only
people who see what I do, are the people who read what I write. I am grateful
for that because I know that what I do in secret, God brings to the light, but
only where He wants it too shine. Every time I get in front of my computer to
write, I pray, I worship, I dance in the spirit. You see, for me, writing is
Worship. If everything I write is actually being written by Him, then that
means I am in His presence at that time. I am in obedience to Him. Do you realize that there are so many people who feel worship is singing and the lifting of hands? Worship is walking in obedience. Worship is being submissive unto your husband, loving your wife as Christ loved the church. Worship is being that Godly parent. Worship is being a good neighbor, reading your word, praying with your children. Everything we do in obedience to Him with the spirit of joy is done in Worship. We can do all we are supposed to do, but to do it with the mindset that it’s just something we have to do because we know better, that’s not the spirit of Worship. God wants to dance with you, He wants to take you by the hand and wrap his arms around you and take the time for a slow dance. He wants you to love Him as a child loves His Father. Do you realize how God feels when we begin to worship? How do you feel as a parent when one of your children love on you, or you over hear them telling others just how much they love you? Well, that’s how your Father feels every time you Worship. There are so many times when I’m not writing, that I miss not being in His presence, I’m not saying that I’m only in His presence when I write, but it is such a beautiful place for me to be in. When I’m writing, I’m dancing with my Father, He is pouring His love all over me. If I were to ever get to the point where I know longer feel the presence of God while I write, then I no longer want to do it because then it’s no longer of Him. © 2015 "Aleeza" |
