The Parking Lots

The Parking Lots

A Poem by Dynafox

I remember the parking lots, it was all the same
You were acting crazy I was mad about you
It made me weak
But all the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put your heart back together again.
So what kind of chance for you and me?
We can talk for a while 'cause talk, it comes cheap
But soon enough babe I'll need something free
It's all that I'll need said Paul McCartney
El-ec-tri-city
Sparks of air pop in our fantasy
It's all the same

I can't remember the parking lots, they were all the same
It's like we were older, your heads on my shoulder
It's all I need
Your face lit up and your eyes followed suit when the phone showed his name
A raisin in a pod, how could I belong?
I knew what it was before it was gone
It was all the same.

I can't recall the parking lots, were they the same
Take a stroll for a while and maybe I'll smile
If I say your name
Turned you on to cola and Marleys
I know, I was joking Harley
My mind can focus only partially
Blames like hot potato but we're all responsible partly
Waited in my grave for the point to be made
It was all the same
