Hi Cat!

Hi Cat!

A Poem by Alexandria

Hi Cat!

Why are you looking at me like that?

What are you thinking?

Your eyes tell me that there is so much grief and sorrow in your life.

Yet I feed you, water you, bathe you, brush you, sing to you, and entertain you.

Why do you tilt your head that way?

Why are you so attentive of things around you?

I am the one you should be focusing on!

I am the only one here!

I am the only one that can love you here!

Why do you pay so much attention to who is at the door?

He won’t feed you or bathe you!

He doesn’t know you like I know you!

Why do you flinch at the small movement of the curtains?

They are nothing!

Come let me swaddle and hold you Baby.

Don’t worry, no one will hurt you.

Stay with me.

I like it. Its a lot more universal than your other two pieces(which were great, but a different kind of great). try to use less words, though, you have a few words that dont have to be there. Try playing some music while you write, i use jazz, instrumentals work better so you dont unconsciously copy the singers words. And read your work aloud to it and see if it fits, if its got that time to it. Overall great work!
