The moon

The moon

A Poem by Alex Louise Edwards

Staring at the moon,
Wondering why he comes so soon,
As he gives the world an observation,
With the clouds that pass, do they have a conversation?

But with the beautiful stars that stand still,
And the ones that fly past,
Why doesn't the night time last?.

The bats need to come come and play,
So for a while he will stay,
The moon and clouds will say hi,
As they fly by.

As the owl turns and gazes,
He looks at the night sky and thinks what amazing.

Then comes morning and the moon has to go,
So he will say goodbye,
as the sun comes up and say hi,
But don't worry he hasn't gone away,
He'll be back at the end of the day.
