Candlelight

Candlelight

A Poem by Alexandra

I stand and walk over to the bookcase, picking up a bundle of love letters

Tied up with string.

I sit back into the couch, your arm around my shoulders as we both

Read the words you wrote for me all those years ago.

I can’t help but smile and look at your flawless face.

Tea lights around the room flicker

And make the room look warm and inviting.

You look at me and kiss my lips. Tenderly, gently.

My love, never let me go.
