A Poem by Alexandra Monroe
"

A personal poem about dysphoria and self-identity.

"
everything about myself is dreadful.
i'm disgusted with my vessel given unto me.
just looking at my body is hurtful.
my true self cannot be seen.

why isn't alexandra the person i see
in the mirror?
she's the person i want to be,
she's the prisoner of my own body.
i want to be me. i want to be her.
