If you let me.

If you let me.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

Love like massacre, can we fade?
Melt like candle, blend with the
background. Gasp, or scream,
or make no sound. Can I fade?

Release ribbons of carcinogen
charred memories, I'll let you
go if you let me. I'll leave if
you let me. I'll fade, if you let me.

Love like massacre, I'll fade alone.
Bury elation deep in sand, I'll
search for sunset before I
surrender. I'll love the horizon.

Release ribbons of regret, I'll
sink beneath the cold. I'll leap
if you let me. I'll forget if you
let me. I'll leave, just let me.
