(Im)Perfection.

(Im)Perfection.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

I could have had it all,
I almost conquered my world.
I tasted perfection quickly,
Before it schemed and bit me.

Everything shatters at the drop of a glass,
I fall to hands and knees picking up the pieces.
Warm rouge pools beneath my position,
I'm more precise while picking out the pieces.

I could have been content,
Quietly taking orders spewed...
I am no robot, though.
I'm not human either...

Everything shatters at the drop of a vase...
I fall to hands and knees picking up the pedals.
I'm incapable of ever keeping anything,
All of my possessions either break or vanish.

I could have had it all,
I almost conquered my world.
I tasted perfection briefly,
But my body rejected it.

In this poem you say you're not human . . . I doubt that, very much. The stuff you described throughout this piece; it's all very human, for everyone.

The visuals of you dropping the vase filled with roses of perfection was very captivating and your message here is heartfelt and clear. I love the title btw. xx
